 A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING

Music and Lyrics by Rodgers & Hammerstein
Conceived by Walter Bobbie
Musical Arrangements by Fred Wells
Performed under permission from Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatre Library

Over three decades after The Sound of Music took the world by storm, it was this new R&H musical that opened the 1994 Broadway season, gaining wildly enthusiastic reviews. This wonderful show includes some of the most beloved songs from the musical theatre. Selections from Oklahoma, South Pacific, Cinderella, The Sound of Music, The King and I and Carousel will all come alive, each in a new context. With such songs as "Shall We Dance?", "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?", and "Some Enchanted Evening", this revue leaves no question about how terrifically up-to-date the remarkable songs on R&H remain.

Songs Include: Sounds of The Earth, Carousel Waltz, So Far, It's A Grand Night For Singing, Surrey With The Fringe On Top, We Kiss In A Shadow, Stepsister's Lament, Hello Young Lovers, I Cain't Say No, Maria, Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?, Honey Bun, Gentleman Is A Dope, Don't Marry Me, Many A New Day, I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, If I Loved You, Shall We Dance? That The Way It Happens, All At Once You Love Her, Some Enchanted Evening, Oh What A Beautiful Morning, It Might As Well Be Spring, Kansas City, Hundred Million Miracles, When The Children Are Asleep, I Know It Can Happen, It's Me, Love Look Away, When You're Driving Through The Moonlight, Lovely Night, Something Wonderful, This Nearly Was Mine, Impossible and I Have Dreamed.
